We offer convenient, environmentally friendly transportation to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, while also contributing significantly to the local economy and community. Shuttle Schedule

The shuttle goes up and down Cadillac mountain hourly, sunrise to sunset, with a mid-day break, every day, all season long.

Shuttle leaves for Cadillac’s summit, from Bar Harbor, at the top of each hour and down from the Summit on the half hour. Boarding is 5 - 10 minutes prior to leaving, 1st come, 1st serve.

*All schedules are subject to change and are approximations. They can vary 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic and weather conditions. Please check website for updates, especially in extreme weather.

 

Ticket Pricing - One-way or round-trip tickets available:

      One-way ticket: $10.00
      Round-trip ticket: $20.00
      Dogs: $5.00

Cash is preferred, but we also accept cards. Tips are appreciated.

MDI locals, MDI workers an MDI Students receive 1/2 price. Must have ID and/or paystub with ID.

Pickup and Drop-off Location

2 Pickup and drop-off locations:
1 out of Bar Harbor and 1 at Acadia National Park’s Hulls Cove Visitor Center parking area.

Bar Harbor’s location: 317 Main St @ Everyday Joe’s Sunoco station, 2 blocks up Main Street, from the ball field and YMCA.

Hulls Cove Visitor Center location: The far back area of the Visitor Center’s parking lot, down by the Carriage road walking trails area, on the grassy knoll. There is no sign so just look for our van which will be well marked!

Cadillac’s Summit Area location:
We pull up in the bus parking area, across the street from the gift shop and restroom area. Shuttles leaving from the summit every 1/2 hour.

You can catch the shuttle at Bar Harbor, located at 317 Main St, lower Main St, 2 blocks up from the YMCA and Ball field. The pick up area is at the Sunoco Station, between Pat’s Pizza and Everyday Joe’s. Boarding is 5-10 mins before the shuttle leaves at the top of the hour. You can also catch the shuttle up on Cadillac’s summit area at the taxi stand, outside the concession and bathroom area. The shuttle leaves the summit area on the 1/2 hour, with boarding about 5 mins before leaving. The shuttle operates on a 1st come, 1st serve basis with round trip ticket holders having priority. You simply need to come to the pick up areas and wait in line for the next shuttle to arrive. Tickets are purchased upon boarding as we don't have a reservation system.

However, all visitors to Acadia National Park need a Park Entrance Pass to go into the park, and these passes are required to ride the shuttle. All forms of entrance passes are accepted, including the Vehicle Entrance Pass, Senior passes, Interagency Annual Passes and Acadia Annual Passes. These are valid for up to 4 passengers that are traveling together. Please bring these passes with you.

We do not have a reservation system for the shuttle and it operates on a 1st come, 1st serve basis with round trip ticket holders having priority at the summit. Tickets are purchased as you board the shuttle. Yes, you can choose to ride the shuttle one way, either up and hike down or hike up and ride down. We offer both one way and round trip tickets.

Yes, we are dog friendly and have a dog kennel in the back of the shuttle. All dogs must ride in the kennel and there's room for one dog per trip. Dogs cost an additional $5.00 to ride with us. We also have a small bike rack on the back of the shuttle with room for 2 bikes per trip, on a 1st come 1st serve basis. For children, we offer safe, top of the line, all in one safety car seats for infants to toddlers. Parents are obligated to install car seats into the van, to ensure proper installation. We have 2 car seats per trip available.

Yes, the shuttle is handicap accessible but passengers must be able to transfer into a van seat. We can help transfer folks to a van seat and bring a wheelchair or walker with you in the van. We prefer cash but do accept cards. Tips are also accepted.
